Enforcement Guidelines
Community leaders will follow these Community Impact Guidelines in determining the consequences for any action they deem in violation of this Code of Conduct:
1. Correction
Community Impact: Use of inappropriate language or other behavior deemed unprofessional or unwelcome in the community.
Consequence: A private, written warning from community leaders, providing clarity around the nature of the violation and an explanation of why the behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may be requested.
2. Warning
Community Impact: A violation through a single incident or series of actions.
Consequence: A warning with consequences for continued behavior. No interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with those enforcing the Code of Conduct, for a specified period of time. This includes avoiding interactions in community spaces as well as external channels like social media. Violating these terms may lead to a temporary or permanent ban.
3. Temporary Ban
Community Impact: A serious violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior.
Consequence: A temporary ban from any sort of interaction or public communication with the community for a specified period of time. No public or private interaction with the people involved, including unsolicited interaction with those enforcing the Code of Conduct, is allowed during this period. Violating these terms may lead to a permanent ban.
4. Permanent Ban
Community Impact: Demonstrating a pattern of violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior, harassment of an individual, or aggression toward or disparagement of classes of individuals.
Consequence: A permanent ban from any sort of public interaction within the community.
Appeals
If you believe you have been falsely or unfairly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you should notify the project team at conduct@agentweave.io with a concise description of your grievance. Your appeal will be reviewed by community leaders not involved in the original decision.
Examples of Positive Contribution
To help illustrate what we mean by positive contribution, here are some examples:
In Code Reviews
Good:

This implementation looks solid! I have a suggestion that might improve
performance: consider using a set instead of a list for membership checks
on line 42, since we're doing O(n) lookups in a loop.
Not Acceptable:
1
This code is terrible. Did you even test this? Use a set, obviously.
In Discussions
Good:

3
I understand your concern about the authentication flow. While I see it
differently, your point about the user experience is valid. Could we
explore a middle ground that addresses both security and usability?
Not Acceptable:
1
2
That's a ridiculous idea. Anyone who understands security would know
this won't work.
In Issue Reports
Good:

3
I encountered an issue with the SPIRE integration. Here's what I tried
and the error I got. I'm happy to provide more details or test potential
fixes if that would help!
Not Acceptable:

2
This is broken and unusable. The docs are terrible and don't explain
anything. Fix it ASAP.
Community Values
Beyond the formal standards above, we encourage community members to embody these values:
Collaboration Over Competition
We're all working toward the same goal: building great software. We succeed together, not in competition with each other.
Learning Over Judgment
Everyone is at a different stage in their learning journey. Instead of judging, help others learn and grow.
Quality Over Ego
The best idea should win, regardless of who suggests it. Check your ego at the door and focus on what's best for the project.
Transparency Over Secrecy
Communicate openly about decisions, changes, and challenges. Transparency builds trust.
Inclusion Over Exclusion
Actively work to include diverse perspectives and make space for new contributors.
